The Hustle and Bustle

This was my first attempt at street photography. I have to admit, it was not as easy as I thought it would be - in fact, it was probably the hardest photography project that I have had to do. Unlike my other projects, I could not plan these photographs to the exact detail, shot by shot in my story boards. All that I could do, was find what I was trying to capture, portray, and then find as many examples as possible, from famous street photographers. Then, I had to draw out  the common themes of each photographer (which I have shown in my 'idea process', 'inspiration' and  'planning process') and come to the conclusion of what was especially interesting. The city to me, seemed the most appropiate place, with all its diverse architecture and people!

Having said this, I have enjoyed this task. It was very much a challenge, but I think it paid off in the end! :)

After choosing all my photographs I realised that much of my inspiration had actually been taken from Henry Cartier-Bresson rather than Ines Njers. However, Njer's photography is also heavily inspired by Cartier-Bresson! Hence, she follows similar concepts and methods.
