Ines Njers

Ines Njers is a Germany based photographer with a passion for street photography. I discovered her through http://www.lightstalking.com/8-street-photographers-that-rock-our-world/

Below is a portfoilio that was a key source of inspiration:

A lot of the concepts and themes of her photographs were based on Henri Cartier-Bresson's practice and methods of:

  • Composition

  • Framing

  • Geometric symmetry/strucutre

  • Symmetry and balnace

  • the "Decisive Moment"

  • Capturing the subject in their natural space

  • Shadows as contrast

  • Subtle movment in a perfectly precise fram

Ines Njer's ideas and concepts are very much inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, the father of street photography. Hence, he will be the focus of my critical analysis.
