Routine and Rituals
A special visit on Vesak Day
With special thanks to the monks and nuns of the Phuoc Hue temple
On this special occasion, many rare and wonderful routines and rituals were carried out.
Unfortunately however, I was unable to include the freeing of the rainbow birds, a significant ending to this ceremony, due to the drastic contrasts of sound in my footage, as well as the (annoying) appearance of an iPhone. Another key routine I missed, was the bathing of the Buddha. Unfortunately, I had already exported my whole video and deleted all the projects off FinalCut before I realised I had left it out....
And lastly, I am very sorry for some of the shaky camera shots! My dad had just bought a new camera so I was still getting my finger around its functions!
But despite all this, I do hope you enjoy the video :) All the sounds used within the clip are were all filmed on that day!
